About Katie

Welcome to The Farmhouse Harvest! I’m Katie, and I am SO glad that you’re here! I have always had a love for developing recipes and serving my family and friends delicious food. I started cooking as a young teenager and really developed a love for from scratch cooking and bread making when I quit my 9-5 banking job to stay at home and raise my babies! I would cook, and eat pretty much anything, until a devastating diagnosis of Alpha Gal Syndrome in late 2023. I have since had to learn new ways to enjoy food and learned to love cooking in more of a healthy way. I struggled to find information when I was diagnosed, so I felt the need to start The Farmhouse Harvest, as a way to help others with this illness find recipes and tips on how to live with this illness. While there will be AG safe recipes on this blog, there will also be recipes for people who CAN eat normally. I will be sure to specify which recipes are AG safe, of course!
